THE SCURGE
by David O'Brien
A promise to the world is made:
Americans will live in fear no more,
Join the plight of commercialism
Or welcome to the third world war.
The battle will be fought
Till the enemy poses no ability.
The war will not be over until
There's economic stability.
The reasons are not only for
A world that's free from toil,
The other one's the abundant crude
That lays beneath the soil.
A Muslim martyr, a Christian soldier
Who bestowed the proxy
Both to me are morons
Even with the oxy.
In the name of Allah, in the name of God,
In the name of human kind,
Take away religion and greed
And the world will be just fine.
