Pidjin
by Eytan Messiah
A pigeon flew to here from France.
Tied to its foot was a romanceless
novel written all in Sanskrit, dipped
in wax incase by chance it slipped
in flight.
Instead its weight had brought it down from such a height
to my front step
from France.
The bird was eaten up by ants.
